Article 3 - Gratitude
 

Our friend Joe once again meets the wise old man to ask few more questions on how he can stay constantly in the mode of receiving.

Joe:                             I can understand there are two states of mind. One is State of Receiving and other one is the State of Rejection. I understood I can only receive good things in my life if I get into the State of Receiving After all the struggles that I undergo in my life, how do I get into the State of Receiving?

Wise Old Man:           Well, first let's inform your mind how it feels to be in the State of Receiving. Look back and take a snapshot of all the good things that have happened in your life. Can you rewind the good things and play it in your mind. Do you still remember the things that happened last year?

Joe:                             Of course I can. My wife and I had a little baby girl last year.

Wise Old Man:           That's great! You had a baby last year. That's a wonderful event in life. How did you feel the instant your daughter was born?

Joe:                             I felt great. I felt she was a blessing from God.

Wise Old Man:           That's a great feeling. Just capture the greatness of that feeling in your mind as well as anything else that made you feel great.

Joe:                             Oh yes. We bought a beautiful new home and moved in last year.

Wise Old Man:           What was your state of mind at that instance?

Joe:                             I felt very happy and delighted, of course.

Wise Old Man:           Please capture that feeling again and let's come back to it within few seconds. Anything else that you can think of that happened last year that made you feel great?

Joe:                             After the baby was born, my wife got a promotion at her job and our income doubled. Now we have more money than what we used to have. We are very excited about that.

So, to stay in the state of receiving, you must do the following:

  • Make a gratitude list*
  • Keep looking at the gratitude list
  • Constantly relive that feeling of greatness and gratitude in your mind

Feel that your goal is done and achieved. As a result, you feel great in your heart. Let's reiterate what we have discussed today.

  • Two State of Minds - State of Receiving and State of Rejection.
  • To get into the State of Receiving, start with a gratitude list.

You are thinking, "Is that all I have to learn?" The good news is that you have realized the state of minds, which will achieve your dreams and desires. But, are we there yet? There is still that stumbling block of "How do I stay in the Gratitude Mode when I have a critical situation?" Let's discuss more about it in the next article, until then keep thinking about the good things that happened in your life and relive them in your mind.
